This piece came from feelings of pure joy during a thought about the time-worn practice of barbershop talk. Men have gathered at the barbershop for decades. It's not just a place for a haircut. It's a place to solve the world's problems, to debate, for therapy, to get the latest news, and to belong. Ironically enough, the artist's husband cuts his own hair.
