Thandiwe is an American artist based out of the Hudson Valley in Westchester. She creates watercolour, pen and ink, and digital art that aims for both an escape from everyday life and a touch on things that ground us as people.

Raised in the Bronx in the 1980s with international roots, Thandiwe loved doodling on the sides of her school notebook. Taking inspiration from television cartoons and art her family kept around the house, her drawings usually cranked smiles and laughs out of her family. As she grew, finding Truth in Christ pivoted her work towards creations that also inspire people in their purpose. She noticed that her background in visual arts and museum studies could provide a lens for this expression.

Sacred SKETCH became a full-time venture as the pandemic of 2019 hit. Today, with the support of her husband and daughter, Thandiwe continues to inspire through her work. When she's not hunched over her watercolours or computer screen, she's playing wingman in her husband's carpentry business, hiking and dancing around the Hudson Valley with her family, or sharing a meal with friends.
